This policy describes how matteomisiani.studio collects and processes the personal data of those who visit the site or get in touch. Processing complies with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data controller
The controller is Matteo Misiani (VAT 18601291000), based in Rome, Italy.
For any request about your data write to matteo@matteomisiani.studio.
Contact form
When you write via the form we collect name, email, optional company and the message content.
- Purpose: replying to your contact requests.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest and pre-contractual measures (art. 6 GDPR).
- Retention: 24 months from receipt.
- Emails are delivered through the provider Resend (USA, under Standard Contractual Clauses).
Demo request
When you ask for a demo through the form you enter your website address and your email.
- Purpose: preparing a demo by hand from your website's public content, sending it to you and replying about that request. We do not automatically visit your site: the form sends only the domain.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Retention: 12 months from the request, then the data is deleted; earlier if you ask us.
- The notification arrives by email through Resend (USA, with Standard Contractual Clauses). A technical line of the request stays in the Vercel server logs for the log retention period.
The "Message me on WhatsApp" button opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message: the site sends no data, you write and you decide whether to send.
- If you write, I receive your number, your profile name and your messages. I use them only to reply and keep them for 24 months from the last message.
- WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (Meta group), which processes the data as an independent controller under its privacy policy.
Site AI assistant
The assistant in the chat window is an artificial intelligence system, not a person: its replies are generated automatically and may contain mistakes.
- The messages you write are sent to Anthropic (Claude model, USA, with Standard Contractual Clauses) only to generate the reply. The site does not store conversations.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering visitors' questions (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Do not write personal or sensitive data in the chat: for a concrete request use the demo form, WhatsApp or email.
- The site's demos (voice agent, WhatsApp, check-in, email) use sample data and send nothing to AI systems.
Call booking · Calendly
If you book an intro call via Calendly we collect name, email and time zone.
- Purpose: managing the appointment booking.
- Calendly LLC acts as an independent controller: data is processed under its privacy policy.
Hosting · Vercel
The site is hosted on Vercel, which automatically collects technical logs, IP address and browser information.
- Purpose: hosting and site security.
- Vercel Inc. acts as an independent controller for these technical purposes: see its privacy policy.
- This data is processed solely for technical purposes, not for profiling.
AI tools for client projects
To build client systems I use artificial intelligence tools (including Anthropic's Claude).
- Client project data is handled under separate contractual agreements.
Your rights
You can exercise at any time the rights under arts. 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction of processing.
To exercise them write to matteo@matteomisiani.studio. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (gpdp.it).
Non-EU transfers
Calendly, Vercel, Resend and Anthropic operate in the United States. Data transfers take place with adequate safeguards under the GDPR, in particular the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
